Skitch, the best thing to ever happen to screenshots

For a while, when I wanted to take a screenshot, I used Grab. Grab had limited features, was horrible in tight spaces, and only saved in TIFF format. The only thing good about Grab was that it offered a timed shot (but only full screen). Then I discovered the keyboard shortcuts ⌃⌘3 and ⌃⌘4. I still use these shortcuts in some situations, they can save in .jpg if you have SuperDocker. Also, these shortcuts offer crosshairs and they highlight the screen in the area of the snapshot, much better than Grab. But now, I use the best screenshot tool ever created. Once you use this tool, you will never need another screenshot tool... ever. I'm talking about Skitch.

Skitch is the only screenshot capturing and sharing tool you will ever need. Skitch is also multifunctional. Not only can you take a screenshot, you can also draw on the screenshot you just captured, and one click share it with the world. Skitch also has one feature that surprised me, you can take a snapshot with your webcam, either built-in or connected, without leaving the application, and doodle on the snapshot! Why? I have no idea, but it sure is fun!

Skitch is extremely easy to use, it hides in your menu bar when not in use.
Just click it and you are brought straight to the application, no wait, no "Please Register" screens, just the application.

Now, notice the menus around the edges. On the left side are all of your drawing controls (From Top to Bottom): Select tool, Free Draw tool, Line Draw tool, Circle Draw tool, Rectangle Draw tool, Fill tool, Eraser tool, Text tool, Arrow Draw tool, Line Size Selector. On the right side you have your choice to take a screenshot (Snap), take a picture with your webcam, (Cam), select drawing colors (Color), and obviously Undo and Wipe/Clear.

Another great feature is that it allows you to select where and in what format you save the photo, in my case, .jpg on the desktop.

Taking screenshots with Skitch is very easy:

1) Figure out what you want to take a picture of.

2) Drag to select what you want to take a picture of.

3) Release to snap

4) Customize your screenshot!

Also, to finish up, here's one cool thing I just found out about today. Skitch actually automatically names the screenshot depending on what you take a picture of (i.e.desktop, safari, applications), and it's not vague, it actually looks at what takes up most of the photo and names it, try it for yourself!

Hope you liked this! Skitch is available for free here.

Apple and 10:15

Lately I have noticed that all of Apple's clock icons show the time 10:15. Also, this year's Keynote address was rumored to start at 10:00, but could it have started a little later, say, 10:15.

Take this example on my iPod Touch's home screen:

And again on Mac OS X Dashboard:

This is obviously more than a coincidence, is the time 10:15 related to the past of Apple or Steve Jobs? Or is it just a random time chosen to be on Apple clock logos.

 Everything iBulletin  EXCLUSIVE!!!

If you own MXMayhem (click here for a review), you know that it is in desperate need of an update. What would be in the new update? Well, the given would be more levels because the current 7 is not enough. But what about when you beat those extra levels? The smart choice would be more modes, like an Invisible Mode.

Is it a glitch? Or is it maybe more? I would think twice before you delete the app.
To make this happen on your iPhone, open the app and then rapidly tap the screen where the play button would be (before the main menu pops up). You should click the play button when the screen turns black (in between the intro and the main menu). If you do this correctly it won't highlight a level when you click Play. Click Play once more and your biker will be invisible.
NOTE: This will not always occur on the first try, it may take many tries.

Moto X Mayhem Review

Moto X Mayhem
Presentation and Graphics - 4.0

Graphics in this game are extremely detailed for a 2-D, side-to-side based game. We have certainly come a far way from Super Mario Bros. As you zoom along the hilly terrain, your shocks bounce and dirt flies from your wheels. The menus are extremely easy to navigate too.

Audio - 2.5
The menu in this game is basically a rock loop, so try not to stay on the menu for too long. When you click the buttons on the menu you hear a bleep, something that you would expect to hear in a Top Gun game. As far as the game play sounds go, do not play this game with headphones, you will want to rip your ears off by the second level. The engine sounds like a leaf blower revving up or down depending on many factors: whether or not the back wheel is on the ground, if you are on a hill. They obviously tried to add peace to this game by adding the sounds of birds chirping in the background. I usually just turn the sound off when playing this game.

Gameplay & Controls - 5
These are the simplest controls you could possibly have on a game: press in front of him to have him go forward, press behind him to make him brake, tilt the device to tilt him. The only thing this game is missing as far as gameplay is a brake-reverse button, in case you need to back up to get some speed (right now it is just a brake). I have played this game many times through and only found one glitch, at the end of the level, if you ride up the side of the screen, dirt still flies from your tires.

Replay Value - 4.5
This game is extremely limited in the amount of levels (only 7). But for some reason I just can't stop replaying the levels, trying to beat my old high score. This game (next to Doodle Jump) is the most addicting game on the app store.

Value For Money - 4.0
This game is only $0.99 USD, this game has a lot of potential; for the price, get it.

Average Score: 3.5
Despite the low-ish score, I still highly recommend buying this game.
