My Review:
This game was a big leap forward for iPhone gaming. Released in late 2008 it looks like it could have been released today. However the developer's description is a bunch of exaggerations. First example would be "...the most breathtaking 3D graphics on the iPhone yet." Don't get me wrong, the graphics are amazing, but for those of you that have played NFS and Real Racing, it's not the best. The price is what makes this app worth buying. For all that you get when you download the app, $3.99 is amazing. Another example would be "...prepare for the most hardcore racing experience of your life!" And as I said before, you CAN get much better but you CAN NOT get ANYTHING better for the price.

When you open the app, you are brought to the main menu, here you can start a new race, access your profile, access the options (sound, configurations, sensitivity, etc.). When you click 'start' you can choose single or multiplayer. Multiplay is pretty much useless because no one is ever playing with this app. When you select 'single player' you can choose 'quick race' (instantly puts you in a random race), 'arcade' (Play until you lose), 'championship' (play all levels and best standing at the end wins), and 'timeattack' (play against your best time 'ghost'). The graphics are pretty good, way better than Asphalt 4 and competing with Crash Nitro Kart. The frame-rate is unsurpassed by any other app on the app store even almost a year later. The AIs are pretty smooth too.

Last Words:
Incredible game, graphics are good for the most part, a good game thats fun to play. Limited levels and cheesy sound but the graphics and physics make it fun to play.

Final Verdict:
75/100

25h $0.99

Developer Description:
Feeling overstretched? 24 hours in a day not enough? Then 25h is a clock for you.

25h is a clock with a difference: it shows you time as if there were 25 hours in a day. By making each "hour" a little shorter 25h manages to squeeze an extra "hour" in your day.

25h does not mess with your biological clock, as its 25 "hours" end at the same time as normal day ends. It simply tricks you into thinking your day has 25h, which can help you be more productive and get things done quicker.

I was a confused about what this app was all about, I understood that it was supposed to help you be more productive but I really wanted to know how it worked. I was a little disappointed by the lack of features (all it is is a clock) but I probably could have guessed by the size of the app (0.0 MB). If you really want this app to help you be more productive, as the description states, you would have to keep the app open all day. I was hoping for alarms or calendar settings, and other bells and whistles. Right now this app should not be $0.99 but instead free. Right now I suggest waiting for (1) the price to drop or (2) they add more features.

Last Words:
I like this app but it is lacking many features, I say wait until it is improved.

50/100

My Review:
When you open up the app, the first thing you see is your contacts... the app automatically imports your IM contacts but the rest to the list is your Address Book contacts, but the good thing is that it puts all of your IM contacts on the top of the list. Simply select the contact you wish to call or chat and your done. When you are using this app you can tell it is fairly new and still has a lot of bugs. On example is the twitter integration. It lists twitter as one contact, it does not upload your twitter contacts. And it is missing some of the biggest social networking networks in the world, Facebook and Myspace.

Last Words:
This app has AMAZING potential, but until then, it is VERY buggy.

Final Verdict:
20/100

-----------------------------------------
My review:
This app is amazing, I wish someone could combine Nimbuzz and fring, because that would be the ultimate app. Nimbuzz does the same thing as fring but has no bugs at all and it supports Facebook and Myspace. When you first open the app you will be asked to log in, which is a bit of a hassle but you can set it to remember you so you can bypass that. When the app loads you are brought to you contacts list (like fring), but unlike fring, this time your phone contacts are not listed (YES!). Chatting someone is a simple as click the name, click chat, and type... WITH LANDSCAPE KEYBOARD! Nimbuzz also has location support for some chats like Google Talk. Now time for the cons, if you love Skype like I do, you are going to be disappointed. Instead of showing you the different chats, it shows you the chats by induvidual person.

Example:
Instead of...

Billy: Hey what's up?
Max: Nothin much... how bout you
Billy: Same
Carley: Hey Guys!
Max: Hey Carley
Billy: Sup

It will look like this...

Billy: Hey what's up?
Billy: Same
Billy: Sup

And on a different page

Max: Nothin much... how bout you
Max: Hey Carley

And on another page!

Carley: Hey Guys!

So you can probably see how this would be a hassle... you can only chat with one person at a time. Another con is that you can only be logged in for 30 mins after logging out, unlike fring which kept you logged in forever, so this makes the push notifications kind of pointless.

Last Words:
Nimbuzz is a great app and with a few more tweaks it will be perfect

Final Verdict:
80/100

My review:
I wasn't sure about this app I was told it was a good app but it didn't look like the kind of thing that I would like. Let me just say this... the screenshots that they chose to use of the App Store are horrible. The game is kind of like Plinko. You shoot a ball out of the gun on top and then you try to hit as many PEGS (hence the name PEGgle) as you can to rack up points. The main goal is to hit all of the orange pegs to get 'Extreme Fever' which triggers an epic, slow motion, bouncing of the small metal ball while 'Ode to Joy' plays in the background. When I first got this I actually felt like I accomplished something, little did I realize it was the only way to finish the level. On the bottom of the screen is a little hole that moves back and forth throughout the level. If you make the ball in the hole you get and extra ball and a point bonus. Purple, green, and blue pegs also occupy the levels. Purple gives you a point bonus on all pegs hit, green gives you a special ability for a few levels, and blue is just regular pegs.

I was pleasantly surprised by this app. Like I said earlier the screenshots chosen are horrible so don't let those turn you away from this marvelous app. The price is unbeatable too, priced way under what this app is worth. There is no lag time, no load time, no glitches (at least none that I have found yet) and beautifully put together. What do you expect from a game that has already covered PC, Mac, iPod (clickwheel), Mobile, XBox Live, the Web, and now iPhone. They know what they're doing. You may also recognize the games Bejeweled, Bejeweled 2, and Book Worm, they to are all made by the same developer. If you are on the fence about this app, buy it. If you didn't even know this app existed, buy it. It's that good. You WILL NOT be disappointed by this app, GUARANTEED.

Last Words:
Excellent, easy to understand, addicting game. There should be no question whether or not you should buy it.

Final Verdict:
100/100

Sunrise $0.99

Developer Description:
Sunrise is a simple utility to calculate sunrise, solar noon, and sunset times, as well as the phase of the moon. By default, it shows the information for the current day, but Sunrise can calculate any day in the past or future.

Sunrise uses iPhone and iPod Touch's ability to locate itself to determine the latitude and longitude for its calculations, so you don't have to pick a city or location -- it's automatic.

In addition to using the current location, Sunrise has a self-contained list of locations from around the world for displaying times for other locations, or for iPod touch users who cannot use location services.

When using locations from the database, Sunrise can operate without WiFi, cellular or GPS signal.

My review:
I am very pleased with sunrise, there there is really no better way to describe it than the way Daveymcgav did on iTunes, "This app is cheap, dead simple to use, and does exactly what the screenshots suggest it will with no complications. Thanks for the great app!"

When you open the app there is no load time at all, all the information just pops up, NO INTERNET REQUIRED! If you are going on a road trip in the middle of the forest, with no WiFi, no cell, and no GPS, and you want to know how much more daylight you have, open up this app, and instantly you see 'Sunset 20:06' (24h time is not used unless that is what you use with your iPhone system time)

Last Words:
I would pay five dollars for this app! Does exactly what it says without issue.

Final Verdict:
98/100

First Post!!!

My biggest goal with this site is to review the apps that aren't top sellers, but instead, apps that you didn't even know existed but are still good apps. They might sound like apps you want or you might want to pass, either way, the apps will get noticed and maybe one of your friends of co-workers might like them.
