Sunrise is a simple utility to calculate sunrise, solar noon, and sunset times, as well as the phase of the moon. By default, it shows the information for the current day, but Sunrise can calculate any day in the past or future.

Sunrise uses iPhone and iPod Touch's ability to locate itself to determine the latitude and longitude for its calculations, so you don't have to pick a city or location -- it's automatic.

In addition to using the current location, Sunrise has a self-contained list of locations from around the world for displaying times for other locations, or for iPod touch users who cannot use location services.

When using locations from the database, Sunrise can operate without WiFi, cellular or GPS signal.

My review:

I am very pleased with sunrise, there there is really no better way to describe it than the way Daveymcgav did on iTunes, "This app is cheap, dead simple to use, and does exactly what the screenshots suggest it will with no complications. Thanks for the great app!"

When you open the app there is no load time at all, all the information just pops up, NO INTERNET REQUIRED! If you are going on a road trip in the middle of the forest, with no WiFi, no cell, and no GPS, and you want to know how much more daylight you have, open up this app, and instantly you see 'Sunset 20:06' (24h time is not used unless that is what you use with your iPhone system time)

I would pay five dollars for this app! Does exactly what it says without issue.
